Insception Biosciences' Grand Rounds provide an in depth understanding of cord blood stem cell research, processing, and storage, and the overall value of stem cells to current and future patient care. The presentation is scientific and research-based and is non commercial in nature.
The grand rounds are presented by Robert Casper, M.D., F.R.C.S.(C), Medical Director of Insception Cord Blood Program. Dr. Casper is the Professor of the Division of Reproductive Sciences in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto, with cross appointments in the Departments of Physiology, Medicine, The Institute of Medical Sciences, and in the Postgraduate Department of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Casper is also a Senior Scientist in the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Casper will provide a concise understanding of cord blood, including statistics surrounding the use of umbilical cord stem cells worldwide as well as a discussion of recent discoveries and outcomes related to the usage of cord blood. He will also provide an overview of the methodologies that allow for the safe and effective expansion of the blood stem cell compartment in cord blood.
The presentation will provide a general overview of Insception Biosciences and our research team, in addition to an overview of Insception's active program in stem cell research and development. It will highlight their pursuit of new ways to treat life threatening and debilitating diseases using cord blood stem cells.
An analysis and discussion of all stem cell transplants involving the participation of Insception Cord Blood Program will be included, in addition to an overview of Insception's active program in stem cell research and development.
