Mount Sinai Hospital

In 2004, Insception Biosciences partnered with Mount Sinai Hospital to enhance the quality of stem cell collection and storage for Mount Sinai patients. Insception’s satellite office is located within Mount Sinai’s Ontario Power Generation Building (700 University Ave, Room 3124). Here, you will find a Clinical Consultant from Insception, who is ready to answer all of your questions about cord blood banking. This office is convenient for expecting parents, clinicians and medical support staff.

Insception and Mt. Sinai also work together on the collection of cord blood samples for research for any patients interested in making a donation of this kind.

The Scarborough Hospital

Situated in the most diverse community in Canada, The Scarborough Hospital delivers more than 5,200 babies each year – or about 10 percent of all babies in the GTA. Two-thirds of the Scarborough population are visible minorities, and more than 100 languages are spoken in the hospital.

The partnership between The Scarborough Hospital and Insception Cord Blood Program is particularly important to Scarborough’s many ethnic communities, all of whom are severely under-represented in international and national stem cell registries. The South Asian representation is only 0.3 percent in Canada’s registry of potential stem cell donors; the Chinese representation is only 1.4 percent, compared to 82 per cent Caucasian.

By providing education at the hospital, expectant parents delivering at The Scarborough Hospital to make an informed decision about the value of cord blood banking.

CDL Health Bank

Insception’s most recent partnership is with Montreal-based CDL Laboratories Inc. Together, Insception and CDL will increase awareness of expecting parents in Quebec of the potentially life-saving benefits of cord blood stem cells.
