Gordie Howe’s condition continues to improve. According to Sporting News, “He’s playing driveway hockey with his grandsons. He’s faking out his great-grandson and then shooting the puck through the five hole. You really couldn’t even tell he had a stroke at this point.”
Former pro hockey player, Gordie Howe, has made a “miraculous” recovery and continues to astonish doctors with his progress.
After a serious stroke in late October, the 86 year old had a 2-day, non-surgical treatment that included neural stem cells being injected into his spinal canal as well as the intravenous infusion of mesenchymal stem cells.
Howe’s response to the treatment was significant. By the end of day 2, he was walking with minimal effort and had regained 85% of his memory recall.
Regardless of the areas left to be improved, this treatment has significantly improved Howe’s quality of life and doctors hope we will continue to see positive results in the months to come.
