Hospital Partnerships

Insception Lifebank is at the forefront of stem cell developments. We are honoured to be the only umbilical cord stem cell program in Canada that has official partnerships with world class medical and research institutions.

Find out more about our partners below, keeping in mind that our service is available at all Canadian Hospitals & Home Births.

Sinai Health System
Sinai Health System

In 2004, Insception Biosciences partnered with Mount Sinai Hospital to enhance the quality of stem cell collection and storage for Mount Sinai patients. Insception Lifebank’s satellite office is located within Mount Sinai’s Ontario Power Generation Building at 700 University Ave, Room 3-103, Toronto, Ontario. Here, you will find an Insception Lifebank Clinical Consultant who is ready to answer all of your questions about cord blood and cord tissue banking. This office is convenient for expecting parents, clinicians and medical support staff. For specific location and office hours click here.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

In September 2013, Insception Lifebank partnered with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre to advance education and services regarding cord blood banking to expectant parents. Sunnybrook is home to one of the largest high-risk birthing centres and neonatal intensive care units in Canada, and is an internationally recognized leader in research and education. Through the partnership, patients at Sunnybrook will have access to a dedicated Clinical Consultant on-site to provide education, materials and support regarding cord blood storage. The Scarborough Hospital
The Scarborough Hospital

Situated in the most diverse community in Canada, The Scarborough Hospital delivers more than 5,200 babies each year – about 10 percent of all babies in the Greater Toronto Area. Two-thirds of Scarborough’s population consists of visible minorities, and more than 100 languages are spoken in the hospital. The partnership between The Scarborough Hospital and Insception Lifebank Cord Blood Program is particularly important to Scarborough’s many ethnic communities, all of whom are severely under-represented in international and national stem cell registries. The South Asian representation is only 0.3 percent in Canada’s registry of potential stem cell donors and the Chinese representation is only 1.4 percent, compared to 82 per cent Caucasian. By providing education at the hospital, expectant parents delivering at The Scarborough Hospital make an informed decision about the value of cord blood banking. To contact The Scarborough Hospital’s Family Maternity Centre at the Birchmount campus, call 416-495-2561 or the general campus at 416-438-2911 ext. 3230.
