Annual Storage Fee Adjustment – Cord Blood & Cord Tissue

Effective July 1, 2019

Insception Lifebank appreciates our clients’ continuing commitment to storing their child’s umbilical cord stem cells.

We wish to advise that as of July 1st, 2019, we have implemented a cord blood and cord tissue annual storage fee adjustment of $18 per sample per year.

With no increase in storage fees since 2009, this year’s storage fee adjustment is a result of:

• Storage consumables and raw material costs are continuing to rise year on year.

These costs include liquid nitrogen, laboratory materials and supplies required to operate and maintain our facility to the highest industry standards.

• Increased costs associated with maintaining fundamental regulatory accreditations.

Insception Lifebank remains the only family cord blood bank to sustain each of the FACT, AABB accreditations and Health Canada regulatory standards. These regulatory accreditations are essential in providing the highest quality service in umbilical cord blood banking and storage.

• Insception Lifebank has significantly increased the investment in research and clinical trials.

Our research is exploring the future use of umbilical cord cells in a broad range of therapeutic applications including in cerebral palsy, type-1 diabetes, stem cell expansion technologies and Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells. (iPSC)
